Crystal Wilson
Licensed Professional Counselors - Associate (LPC-A)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate (LMFT-A)
I’m Crystal Wilson, LPC-Associate and LMFT-Associate (supervised by Ashley Erwin, LPC-S, LMFT-S). I specialize in helping children, teens, and families navigate emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges with compassion, structure, and care. I currently see clients in person at our Richmond office and also provide telehealth therapy across Texas.
Rooted in Education, Built for Therapy
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working in public schools as a teacher and then as an administrator. That experience gave me a front-row seat to the emotional and developmental struggles kids and teens face every day, both at school and at home. It also helped shape my belief that emotional wellness and learning go hand in hand. Now, as a therapist, I help young people build the emotional skills they need to thrive, while also supporting the adults, parents, caregivers, and educators who care for them.
Who I Work With
I offer individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as couples and parents. My approach is warm, trauma-informed, and practical. Whether your child is experiencing anxiety, behavior concerns, emotional outbursts, or school-related stress or your family is going through a transition like divorce, grief, or co-parenting, I provide a safe space where growth and healing can begin.
My Approach
I draw from evidence-based models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and family systems work. But more than anything, I believe in creating a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, safety, and a genuine understanding of your unique story. I meet my clients where they are, while helping them build toward where they want to be.
Outside the Therapy Room
I’m a former educator turned therapist, a lifelong learner, and someone who believes deeply in the power of safe relationships. When I’m not working, I love being outdoors, riding bikes with my family, and spending time in nature to reset and recharge. I also enjoy supporting local schools and advocating for mental health awareness in both educational and community spaces.
Let’s Get Started
If your child or family could use extra support, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Whether in person at our Richmond counseling office or virtually through secure telehealth, I’m here to help you move forward together.
