Welcome to the Onboarding Training Course for Greater Houston Counseling Services (GHCS)

We’re delighted to have you join the GHCS family! This training course is designed to help you smoothly transition into your new role and equip you with the knowledge and tools you need to succeed. 2. Working with GHCS: In this section, we will cover the basics of working with GHCS, including pay and benefits policies, dress codes, and the use of technology.
3. Working with Integrity: Effective communication with our clients is vital. We’ll go over the basics of client interactions, ensuring you understand the importance of empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism. We’ll also cover HIPAA requirements to ensure all client communications are compliant and secure.
4. But Did you Document it?: Accurate and thorough documentation is a cornerstone of our practice. This section will guide you through our documentation processes, including how to properly record sessions, update client records, and manage administrative tasks. Proper documentation ensures continuity of care and legal compliance.
5. Special & Unique Circumstances: This section covers some of the less common but equally important policies like transfers and severe weather protocols.
