Helping You Break Cycles and Build a New Path
Sometimes life feels like it’s happening to you—like you’re stuck in patterns you didn’t choose or weighed down by emotions that won’t let go. Maybe you find yourself fighting the same battles with anxiety, struggling to trust after past trauma, or feeling lost in a life transition that’s harder than you expected. No matter what you’re carrying, you don’t have to carry it alone.

A Therapist Who Sees the Whole Picture
I’m Stephanie Orji, M.Ed., LPC-A, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Nashema M. Hatten, MA, LPC-S, RPT-S. My passion for mental health started long before I became a therapist—it grew from my years of mentoring, leading, and seeing firsthand what happens when people feel unseen and unheard. I’ve always believed that when people are given the right support, they find strength they never knew they had.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Prairie View A&M University and my Master’s in Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. My experience includes working in a juvenile detention center, where I gained a deeper understanding of how personal struggles, external circumstances, and mental health intersect. These experiences shaped my commitment to helping people not just "manage" their challenges, but truly overcome them.

Rewriting the Script on Mental Health
For many of my clients, mental health struggles don’t just exist in isolation—they show up in their relationships, their sense of self, and the way they experience the world. I help people identify the patterns that are holding them back, challenge negative thoughts, and start making choices that align with who they truly want to be.

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I help clients:

- Understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors
- Work through anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma in a way that feels safe and manageable
- Develop confidence in decision-making, relationships, and self-worth
- Create practical, sustainable strategies for emotional well-being

Therapy with me isn’t just about talking—it’s about finding real solutions and taking meaningful steps toward the life you want.

More Than a Therapist, I’m Also a Creative
Outside of my work, you’ll find me singing, songwriting, spending time with family, or getting lost in a great movie.Creativity has always been a part of how I process the world, and I encourage my clients to find their own ways to express, heal, and reconnect with themselves.

Let’s Do This Together
You don’t have to keep running in circles or wondering if things will ever change. Therapy is where you take back the pen and start writing a new chapter. If you’re ready to break free from the past and build a future that actually feels good, I’d love to help you get there.
