A Therapist Who Gets It—No Judgment, Just Support
Life can be messy, complicated, and overwhelming—especially when you feel like you don’t quite fit the mold. Maybe your family dynamic looks a little different, you’re navigating big transitions, or you’re struggling to find a space where you feel safe to just be yourself. Whatever you’re facing, I’m here to remind you: it’s okay to ask for help, and you don’t have to go through this alone.
Therapy for Real-Life Challenges
I’m Stephanie, an LPC Associate supervised by Katrina Daneshvar NCC, LPC-S. My path to becoming a therapist started long before I earned my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Lamar University in 2022. With 22 years of experience in education—first as a teacher and later as a school counselor—I’ve always had a passion for supporting the social and emotional well-being of others. Now, I’ve brought that passion to the private sector to help individuals and families from all walks of life navigate life’s challenges with care and compassion.
An Inclusive and Affirming Approach
I specialize in working with adolescents (ages 9 and up) and adults, focusing on creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel truly seen and supported. My clients come from diverse backgrounds, family structures, and lifestyles, and I’m committed to ensuring equitable access to mental health services for everyone. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ and polyamory communities, I offer a unique understanding of the challenges individuals in these communities face, and I approach every client with respect, empathy, and an open mind.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, life transitions, family dynamics, or self-esteem struggles, my goal is to help you break through barriers, process your emotions, and create a life that feels meaningful and authentic to you.
Real-Life Experience That Fuels Connection
With two partners and five children ranging in age from 3 to 20 years old, I understand the complexities of balancing relationships, family life, and personal well-being. My own experiences provide me with a unique perspective on non-traditional family dynamics, and I bring that knowledge into my work with clients navigating similar situations. Together, we can explore ways to create harmony and strength in your relationships and personal journey.
A Life Grounded in Joy and Authenticity
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll often find me diving into a great book, playing games with my kids, or dreaming about the next family cruise. I believe in savoring life’s small joys and making space for what truly matters—a philosophy I carry into every session to help my clients find balance and fulfillment.
Let’s Get Started
If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are—whether you’re navigating tough family dynamics, struggling with self-doubt, or processing trauma—I’m here to help. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your unique needs and empowers you to move forward with confidence and clarity.
