Stephanie Hiller-Aiello
Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate
I am an LPC Associate, Supervised by Katrina Daneshvar NCC, LPC-S. I am a mother, partner, and overall goofball. I'm super down to earth and open minded. I've always felt like a therapist even in my friend groups growing up. When I became a teacher I found my love for the social-emotional health and support of my students and families. I found my passion and after 22 years in education became a School Counselor. I chose to leave education and put my love for supporting mental health in the private sector so I could help more people. I received my M.Ed. in School Counseling in May 2022 from Lamar University.
I view therapy as a potent tool for guiding individuals through life's various stages, fostering growth and positive transformation. Central to my approach is creating a safe, non-judgmental space that embraces everyone, from children to adults regardless of family structure/make-up. I hold a firm belief in equitable access to mental health services and the importance of treating everyone with profound respect and empathy. I believe in breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and letting everyone know it's ok to reach out for help and support. I work with clients from adolescents to adults; 9 years and up. I work with clients from all walks of life and backgrounds. I am a part of the GLBTQIA+ and polyamory community which allows for an empathetic understanding of those communities.
Outside of GHCS you can find me spending time with my family. Between my 2 partners and I we have 5 children ranging in age from 3 years old to 20 years old. When I have time off you'll catch me reading a book, or playing games with the kids. When there is time and money a cruise is always on the list! I'm the therapist for you if you want knowledge across diverse domains such as; adolescent and teen support, women, family dynamics, PTSD and trauma, depression and anxiety, sexual assault, life transitions, self-esteem, non-monogamous relationships/alternative family structures, alternative lifestyles, and issues related to suicidal ideation/self-harm.
