Ronda Eade
Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor
Veteran Trauma Therapist Supervisor
I am a mom for 3 amazing young adults who have far surpassed my hopes and expectations despite facing many challenges. I am strong in my faith and know that with this and the connection to others, we can get through anything. I chose becoming a counselor because I believe we all have the ability to meet our biggest goals, but sometimes we need a little help finding a way to do this. Having someone who supports you when you make difficult changes is invaluable.
I studied at Texas Tech University. I have a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology and later returned to get my LPC. I graduated in 1995 with my Ph.D. and in 1997 with my Master's Degree that allowed me to acquire my LPC. I believe the two of these work so well together and help me see a bigger picture that can often benefit clients. My approach to therapy is focused on building rapport and then using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as my main tool. I believe that having support of others is the foundation that allows for change, no matter what approach is used. My biggest desire to help individuals identify their own goals and then achieve them. This world and relationships in it can be challenging, but if we work together, you will be surprised to see what all you can do. I work with Veterans and other clients who struggle to navigate through changes due to trauma, lack of communication, or life events that have come their way. Learning how to think about these situations, regulate emotions, and act in a way that matches is a freedom that exceeds expectations.
Outside of GHCS, you will find me interacting with my kids, talking to friends, or wondering who created this mess in my house. I love life, but also enjoy the value of my time at home. When I have time off, you will find me outside, but often at home. I enjoy time with others at work, but enjoy quiet times with family and close friends in the comfort of my own home outside the office. I am the therapist for you if you realize that things are not going the way you want them to go and are ready to make some changes in the way you approach life. I will support you on this journey and remind you that you can do it when times are challenging.
