Veteran Trauma Therapist

Life doesn’t always go as planned. Relationships shift, emotions feel overwhelming, and transitions—whether expected or sudden—can leave you feeling uncertain about what comes next. Maybe you're carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, past trauma, or identity struggles, and it feels like no one truly understands.

You don’t have to go through this alone. Therapy is a space to unpack the hard stuff, explore what’s holding you back, and build a future that feels more like you.

A Therapist Who Meets You Where You Are
I’m Christina, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Jillian Denman, LPC-S.Growing up in Texas, I saw firsthand how mental health challenges affect individuals, families, and entire communities. That’s what led me to earn my bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology (Criminal Justice) from Texas Lutheran University and my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University.

My work focuses on helping people from all backgrounds navigate life’s complexities with self-compassion and confidence. I specialize in working with:

- Anxiety, depression, and PTSD
- Neurodivergent individuals looking for support and self-understanding
- LGBTQ+ clients exploring identity, relationships, and self-acceptance
- Couples and individuals struggling with relationship challenges
- Grief, loss, and major life transitions
- Career shifts and academic struggles
- Anger management and emotional regulation
- Women’s issues, multicultural experiences, and family dynamics
- Military families and veterans adjusting to change

No two people experience life in the same way, so I personalize my approach to fit your unique needs. Using a blend of Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients uncover strengths, develop coping strategies, and create lasting change.

Therapy That Feels Safe, Supportive, and Real
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to show up as your full, authentic self. This isn’t about judgment or labels—it’s about figuring out what’s working, what isn’t, and what we can do to make life feel more manageable.

Together, we will:

- Explore what’s been weighing you down and why it’s affecting you the way it is
- Build strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and difficult emotions
- Strengthen your relationships and improve communication skills
- Develop confidence in yourself and your decisions

Finding Balance Beyond Therapy
Outside of my work, you’ll find me getting lost in a great book, discovering new music, crocheting thoughtful gifts for loved ones, and spending time with my pets. I also believe in the power of giving back, which is why I stay involved in my community through volunteering and supporting causes close to my heart.

Let’s Start This Journey Together
No matter where you are in life, you deserve a space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. If you’re ready to explore what’s next, I’m here to help.
