Licensed Professional Counselor
Life can be unpredictable. One moment, things feel manageable, and the next, stress, anxiety, or unexpected change makes everything feel overwhelming. Whether you’re a child struggling with emotions you don’t quite understand, a teen navigating self-doubt and relationships, or an adult feeling stuck in old patterns, therapy is a space where you can slow down, process, and find a way forward.
A Therapist for Every Stage of Life
I’m Ashley, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I’ve spent years helping children, teens, and adultswork through life’s struggles, gain insight into their emotions, and build resilience. Whether it’s a child learning to express big feelings, a teen navigating friendships and self-confidence, or an adult working through past trauma or life transitions, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can happen.
I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (2012) and Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2017) from Sam Houston State University. My experience includes working in community mental health, forensic settings, and hospitals, where I’ve helped individuals, couples, families, and groups navigate:
- Anxiety and stress that feel overwhelming
- Depression and emotional struggles that make daily life harder
- Trauma and past experiences that still affect you today
- Life transitions and major adjustments
- Relationship challenges, communication struggles, and conflict resolution
- Behavioral and emotional challenges in children and teens
I take an integrative approach to therapy, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, the Gottman Method for relationship work, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma healing. I adapt my approach to fit each client’s unique needs—because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.
For Kids and Teens: Creating a Safe Space to Grow
Children and teens don’t always have the words to express what they’re going through, which is why I use age-appropriate techniques that make therapy feel engaging, supportive, and empowering. Whether it’s helping kids with emotional regulation, guiding teens through friendships and self-esteem, or supporting families in improving communication, I work to ensure that young clients feel seen, heard, and understood.
For Adults: Breaking Cycles and Moving Forward
As adults, we sometimes find ourselves stuck in patterns we don’t know how to change. Whether it’s repeating unhealthy relationship habits, struggling with stress and anxiety, or carrying the weight of past trauma, therapy is a space to understand, heal, and make intentional choices that lead to real growth.
Together, we will:
- Recognize negative thought patterns that keep you stuck
- Develop coping strategies that work for your life
- Improve communication in relationships and family dynamics
- Process emotions in a way that feels manageable and healing
Therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about helping you understand yourself better and move forward with confidence.
Finding My Own Calm
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me spending time with my family, reading, or enjoying the company of my dogs. I also love being near the water—it’s where I feel most at peace, and I encourage my clients to find their own spaces of calm and restoration.
Let’s Get Started
If you or your child are struggling with big emotions, difficult transitions, or overwhelming stress, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to find clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
